How orders are packed and shipped from our Toledo, Ohio workshop.
All shipments originate from our Toledo, Ohio workshop. We do not drop-ship from third-party warehouses, and we do not relabel imported glass.
Every piece ships in foam-cradle inserts custom-cut to the geometry, inside double-walled corrugated cartons. Reactors, large flasks, and assemblies ship in plywood crates. Each carton is marked Fragile and includes the Premier Lab Glass packing slip, the inspection certificate, and any calibration certificate or compliance letter associated with the order.
Standard domestic shipments move via UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, or USPS Priority depending on weight, dimension, and destination. Crated freight (typically over fifty pounds or oversize) moves via LTL carriers we have qualified for laboratory-equipment handling. Expedited service (Next Day Air, Two Day) is available on request and quoted at cost.
International orders ship via FedEx International or DHL Express by default. The Buyer is the importer of record and is responsible for duties, taxes, and customs broker fees unless agreed otherwise. International shipments are subject to export-control review (ITAR and EAR) before they leave our floor; see the Export Policy for detail.
Lead time is stated on each written quotation and order acknowledgment. Typical ranges:
Lead times begin when the Seller acknowledges the order and any required deposit is received. The annealing cycle is non-negotiable; we do not ship pieces that have not run the full anneal program.
Inspect every shipment on receipt. Note visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing, photograph the package and contents, and email orders@premierlabglass.com within forty-eight hours. We file the freight claim and arrange a replacement on the same fabrication queue.
